my parents/aunt and uncle went to a square dance (yes, a square dance).

Why is the word yes so brief?
It should be
the longest,
the hardest,
so that you could not decide in an instant to say it,
so that upon reflection you could stop
in the middle of saying it.

I had a fantastic day spending time with a lot of people I love (and nearly causing forest fires shhh) and it’s only just now sinking in that I only have about 12 hours left with them, and then I won’t see quite a lot of them forever, basically, and the rest I won’t see for a year and a half.

Wow.

Time really does fly.

I hope all of you are reconsidering your choice to LEAVVEE MEEEE don’t LEAVVEEE

packing up my room

now it looks strange and white and sad

and this feels like another end because lots of people are leaving and I won’t see anyone for ages—and it feels good and refreshing but also weird and sad because people I’ve gotten so close to won’t always be there.

not to mention my entire family will be here tomorrow night! AAH FAMILY

and commencement AH COMMENCEMENT

I believe that we form our own lives, that we create our own reality, and that everything works out for the best. I know I drive some people crazy with what seems to be ridiculous optimism, but it has always worked out for me.
